Emergency First Response
Learn how to help others in need.
Primary care (six hours)
Teaches you how to deal with life threatening and non life threatening emergencies
Covers rescue breathing, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, bleeding management and other skills
Covers use of AED (Automatic External Defibulator)
Meets HSE requirements for "appointed person in the workplace"
Secondary care (six hours)
Teaches you how to handle injuries and illnesses that aren't immediately life threatening, and how to provide care while waiting for the emergency services to arrive
Covers basic first aid skills such as injury and illness assessment, bandaging and splinting.
Care for children (12 hours over two days)
Covers all elements of primary and secondary care, as listed above
Relates this information to the care of children and babies, where needs are different
First aid at work (up to four days)
Includes all elements of primary and secondary care, as listed above
Complies with all HSE and other legal requirements
