Florian becomes an Instructor!

On Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th September, Florian became an Open Water Scuba Instructor when he completed his Instructor examinations at Guildenberg in Peterborough.  

As an Open Water Scuba Instructor, Duncan can teach PADI Programs from Discover Scuba and Open Water Diver up to Divemaster. 

Shortly after completing his OWSI, Florian took a step further and completed his Specialty Instructor Course, where he can now teach specialty courses in Deep, Navigation, Dry Suit, Enriched Air and Wreck specialties.

Andy and Laurence complete the Great East Swim

This was an exciting one mile, mass participation open water swim in which Andy and Laurence did as part of a series of events their company, Aaron Services Ltd, is doing to fundraise for Cancer Research UK.

This is the first time they have participated in a fundraising event like this.  Andy said “We are not trained athletes as you can clearly see, but felt we wanted to “do our bit” so entered the GES.  We have been well supported by family, friends, workmates, clients, in particular Orwell Housing Association, and local businesses.” Laurence, a qualified PADI Open Water Diver, said “I was trying to think of different ways to gain support for the swim and approached my local dive centre, Galaxsea Divers, for sponsorship.  They have been very supportive and have given us our Typhoon wetsuits for the race and diving sessions to raffle off to raise funds.
