Gemma Graduates!

Gemma studied a three year Biological Sciences degree at the University of Essex, and graduated on July 15th 2009.

It was during her time at University, that Gemma began her diving journey. Before university she had never dived before, and it was at her first Freshers Fair, that Gemma joined the University of Essex's Student Union Sub Aqua Club and shortly after had her first experience of diving on a Discover Scuba course.   

Since then she has been hooked and spent the next two and a half years obtaining dive qualifications (in between lectures of course).  In her second year, she became President of the Sub Aqua Club, which involved organising Dive Courses and Holidays and she was pleased to have been elected as President during her third year. 

Gemma is now currently working part time here at Galaxsea Divers, whilst working towards her Divemaster qualification and hopes to eventually beome an Instructor.  

Also this month.....

On July 4th, Galaxsea Divers attended and held Discover Scubas' at a fete held by Ipswich High School for Girls, in Woolverstone. This was a great opportunity for pupils of the school, their friends and families to have a go at diving.
