Galaxsea Divers has teamed up with Odyssey Adventures to offer you the illustrious Truk Lagoon liveaboard boat, The Odyssey for the worlds best shipwreck destination.

The Odyssey

The Truk Odyssey is one of the most beautifully maintained and well appointed liveaboard dive boats in the world.

With 3 decks, she offers spacious accommodation for just 16 guests. Each cabin has its own en-suite and washbasin, air-conditioning and either a large port hole or picture window.

On the main deck you will find a lounge with a TV, DVD player and music system. You will also find a well stocked bar and library which include fish and Invertebrate identification books for you to look up something you may not recognise.

In the spacious air conditioned dining room, you will find the bar with a wide choice of beers, wines and sprits as well as soft drinks and astern you will find a sun deck with plenty of deck chairs and there is a large covered area providing plenty of shade.

Dive Deck - The dive deck is located to the stern of the main deck, and has individual tank ranks, seats and storage facilities. Most diving occurs from the ship therefore you can leave your equipment set up during your stay and air fills conveniently take place at your seat.

Chuuk state lies in the centre of Micronesia, about 617 miles South East of Guam and 3,262 miles west of Hawaii. Chuuk state consists of seven major island groups with the total land mass of including outer islands consisting of 77 square miles.
 

Chuuk lagoon often referred to as Truk lagoon is famous for the World War II Operation Hailstone, a massive air and surface attack in February 1944 by the United States Navy on a secret Japanese military base. This attack led to the untimely end of this combined fleet and now serves as a final resting place for a variety of warships, merchant ships, planes, tanks and other war material.  Currently, this site is not only the resting place for these wrecks but you will also find a healthy marine life and over 300 varieties of soft and hard colorful corals.
